You can request permanent account deletion directly in Reference. You do not need an active Pro subscription.
1. Save anything you want to keep
Open Settings and choose Export collection before requesting deletion. The archive contains photo references, not image files; keep original photographs separately. Deletion cannot be undone.
2. Delete your account in the app
Open Settings, scroll to Delete account, type DELETE and choose Permanently delete account. You will receive an on-screen confirmation when the request has been accepted.
3. What happens to your data
Your Index, private records, captures, posts, comments and profile are removed from the app. Stored photographs and your sign-in account are then removed by the cleanup service. Limited records may remain for legal, security or provider-backup purposes as described in the privacy policy.
Cancel your subscription separately
To stop future renewals, cancel Reference Pro in your Apple or Google account settings. An account deletion request does not cancel a subscription.
Cannot access the app?
Contact Reference from the email address associated with your account and request account deletion. We may need to verify ownership before acting. Do not send passwords, payment details or a copy of your identity document unless specifically required through a secure process.
