About these terms
Reference is operated by h1tch ai llc. These terms govern the Reference app and website. By using Reference, you agree to these terms and the community guidelines. You must be at least 13 and old enough to consent to the service where you live. If you are below the age of majority, use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission where required.
Your account
Keep your account secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for the content you upload and the rights needed to use it. Do not impersonate others, expose private information, bypass access controls, misuse automated tools, manipulate achievement eligibility or interfere with the service.
Identification, portraits and values
A photograph can suggest a brand, model or reference; similar watches may require more evidence. Reference does not authenticate or certify watches, and a generated portrait may differ from the actual watch. Private values are records you choose. Any Reference estimate shown for a supported watch is an approximate guide, not an appraisal, guaranteed sale price, insurance valuation or financial advice. Check important details independently before buying, selling or insuring a watch.
Reference Pro
The store displays the current price, billing period, included features and any applicable introductory terms before you buy. Payment is charged through your Apple or Google account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the store before renewal. The store controls billing, cancellation and refund eligibility. Monthly usage allowances reset on the first day of each month in UTC and do not roll over. Saved records remain readable after membership ends; creating or editing certain paid records may require an active membership.
Your photographs and words
You keep your ownership rights in content you upload. You give h1tch ai llc and its service providers permission to store, process and display that content as needed to provide the features you request. Choosing to publish makes the selected content available to other collectors. It does not make the rest of your Index public. Upload only material you have permission to share.
Community and moderation
The community guidelines form part of these terms. Public content is subject to moderation and may be held, rejected, removed or restricted. Use the report and block tools for abusive content or contact Support. We may restrict or suspend accounts for violations, safety concerns, fraud or legal requirements. Reference is not a marketplace and does not facilitate payments between collectors.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Reference useful and reliable, but features, supported watches and availability can change. Identification, estimates and background information may be incomplete. Where the law permits, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted access or error-free information. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Leaving Reference
You may stop using Reference and delete your account through Settings. Account deletion removes your active app data and queues stored-file and sign-in cleanup. It does not cancel a store subscription; cancel that separately in your Apple or Google account. Contact Support if you cannot access your account or have questions about these terms.
Names and trademarks
Watchmaker names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in Reference identifies the watches being discussed and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

Include your Reference handle, device and a short description of what happened. Never send your password or payment card details.
